• Removal of calculus (tartar): Calculus is hardened plaque that has been left on the tooth for some time and is now firmly attached to the tooth surface. Calculus forms above and below the gum line and can only be removed with special dental instruments.
• Removal of plaque: Plaque is a sticky, almost invisible film that forms on the teeth. It is a growing colony of living bacteria, food debris, and saliva. The bacteria produce toxins (poisons) that inflame the gums. This inflammation is the start of periodontal disease!
• Teeth polishing: Remove stain and plaque that is not otherwise removed during tooth brushing and scaling.

• Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions.
• Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.
• Gum disease evaluation: Check the gums and bone around the teeth for any signs of periodontal disease.
• Examination of tooth decay: All tooth surfaces will be checked for decay with special dental instruments.
• Examination of existing restorations: Check current fillings, crowns, etc.

Dr. Wren grew up in Comfort, graduating from Comfort High School. She then received her undergraduate training at Texas Lutheran College and Texas A&M University. 

While in college, she worked part-time as a chair-side dental assistant and later as an assistant & front desk employee in two general dentistry offices, a pediatric dental office, and an endodontic practice. The experience she gained in those offices confirmed her love for and desire to practice general dentistry. She especially liked the aspect of developing long-term relationships with her patients.

We've served as a trusted dental office to Comfort, Kerrville, Boerne, and Fredericksburg residents since 2007. Our team, led by Dr. Kendra Steubing Wren, enjoys creating genuine relationships with our patients and is excited to start one with you. Sherri was born in Del Rio Texas - Laughlin AFB. She has lived in various places from Ft Polk, LA to Dallas, TX. In 2017 she moved from Dallas to Kerrville with her family. After attending dental assisting school in Kerrville, Sherri joined the team at Comfort Center for Dentistry. She loves spending time with her husband and their 3 children plus their 3 dogs. She is proud to be an Aggie Mom! WHOOP! 

Ashley was born and raised in Texas. She attended UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, where she graduated with honors. She joined the team at Comfort Center for Dentistry in August 2022. She strives to ensure a positive dental experience for each patient and is passionate about providing excellent preventative oral health care education to her patients.

Ashley resides in Boerne with her husband, Brian, and their three amazing children.

Amanda was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Southern Careers Inc. in 2000 as an Administrative Assistant.

She has 5 beautiful children! She loves spending time with family and friends, being near the water (swimming, fishing or floating). She also loves to read when she can and can finish a book in 24 hours if given the time! She joined our family at Comfort Center for Dentistry in August 2022!
